Clip Art Utilities - Copying

It's really easy, whether you're a PC or Mac user! You'll also find some valuable tips on using graphics on your web pages. Remember to read our disclaimer notice.

If you're running Windows...

1. Right click with your mouse on the image you want.
2. From the dialog box, select "Save Image As..." or "Save Target As..."
3. Save the image with the file name you want. Remember to indicate the proper directory.

If you're running Macintosh...

1. Click on the picture you want and hold down the mouse button.
2. Then select "Save Image As..."
3. Save the image with the file name you want. Remember to indicate the proper directory.

If you're using graphics...

1. Use graphics only enough to enhance your site. Overdoing things could make it look tacky.
2. Use simple graphics shareware such as Paint Shop Pro to edit images to suit your needs. Images can be easily cropped and resized.
3. Use the smallest possible image that will do the job. Otherwise, the graphics will take too long to load and visitors to your site may become so irritated, they won't stick around.
4. Wherever possible, store graphics in the same directory (perhaps as a sub-directory) as your web pages, rather than linking to them at some remote site other than your own. Every link outside your own web site location can slow things down.
5. Use graphics with transparent backgrounds. They can be used more universally.
