Yesterday was a whirlwind of activity for our Rhonda. Since she's been asked to the Prom by Lance's younger brother, Arthur, she's hardly had her feet on the ground. But that's not unusual for Rhonda; after all, she's been taking ballet and ballroom dance classes since September - that's how determined she was to go to this year's Prom. But yesterday was D-day, 'D' for Dress!
Veronica spied her dashing from shop to shop on Avalon Avenue, her frazzled mother in tow. Really, all she could see of Rhonda's mom were two bleary eyes peeping out over a stack of parcels. Veronica thought she'd have some fun, so she set out to shadow them. Peering through the window of Henri's Haute Couture, she was treated to a view of plump little Rhonda stuffed into a frilly, flowered chiffon gown, stamping her foot at each of her mother's hopeful encouragements.

     Five stores later, Rhonda settled upon a short, pink taffeta number, coupled with a blue chiffon top. Saucy? She looked great. The same cannot be said of her mother. The slacker!
     Hopefully, Prom night will live up to Rhonda's expectations. She's really excited about 'double dating'. Imagine! Rhonda, her escort Arthur, Melissa and Arthur's older brother Lance, the captain of Marbello High's soccer team, all arriving at the Prom in the same limousine. Who'd have thought it?
     What with all the bouncing energy Rhonda's bringing to the gala evening, we trust that Arthur's well prepared to twirl the night away on the dance floor. We wouldn't want a disappointed Rhonda!
